Thermal imaging does not see through walls and cannot identify a material or problem by temperature alone. Sunlight, weather, HVAC operation, surface materials, and recent water use can all affect the image.

Can thermal imaging see through walls?

No. A thermal camera displays surface-temperature patterns. Those patterns may suggest a concern but do not reveal the inside of a wall.

Does a thermal anomaly always mean moisture?

No. Temperature differences can have several causes. Findings must be interpreted in context and, when appropriate, checked with other tools.

Is thermal imaging included with the home inspection?

Yes. Sparta uses thermal imaging as an inspection tool when property conditions make it useful; it is not sold as a guarantee that every concealed condition will be identified.

Will thermal images appear in my report?

Relevant thermal images may be included when they help document or explain an inspection finding.
